Angmering Mile - 19/09/24

This week saw us kick-off our sporting calendar with a fan-favourite - the Angmering Mile. Roughly 90 children from EPJS attended the event; an incredible amount! The day itself was perfect for the event as the sun was shining gloriously.

As children arrived, they were very excited to see the new 'Mighty Oaks' banner and chanted this proudly. Following this, things got underway and the enthusiasm on show was a real delight to see - from both parents and children. 

For those that have not attended the event before, two laps of the field may have seemed like a lot! This did not stop them and everyone showed admirable resilience. After the event, there were lots of individual successes and children showed great pride in: beating their previous bests, continuing through breathlessness, finishing highly and representing their school. 

Thank you to all adults that made it possible for your children to attend - it is a hugely worthwhile experience. Hopefully this encourages children to get involved in sport and physical activity as much as possible; be that within or outside of school.
