Art club, at East Preston Junior School recently set off on an art adventure to Pallant Gallery, in Chichester!  Their mission was simple: explore the new exhibition – Dora Carrington: Beyond Bloomsbury.

The exhibition at Pallant Gallery displayed paintings, drawings and prints from across Dora Carrington’s career, including film and photographs from private and public collections. Some of her illustrated letters were also on display and these gave us an insight into her humour, friendships and creativity.

After exploring the exhibition and some of the permanent collection too, we had the opportunity to investigate specific pieces in more detail and sketch and draw works of art that we were especially interested in. What a great trip!
