Cricket Coaching Day Hits a Six at Primary School
Thursday, 24th April – School Field
Pupils from Years 3 to 5 enjoyed a fun-filled and active day on Thursday 24th April as they took part in a special Cricket Coaching Day, held on the school field. The sessions were led by a professional coach from the Chance to Shine Cricket initiative, aiming to introduce and develop key cricketing skills in a fun and inclusive environment.
Each class participated in a half-hour session, where children learned and practised a range of skills including batting, bowling, catching, and teamwork. The coach guided students through engaging drills and modified games, giving everyone a chance to shine and experience the excitement of cricket.
Throughout the day, the children showed excellent enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Their participation was fantastic, with many pupils demonstrating real progress and confidence in their abilities by the end of the session.
The school would like to thank Chance to Shine Cricket for providing such a high-quality coaching experience, and all the staff who supported the event. The day was a brilliant success and has inspired many pupils to get more involved in cricket both at school and beyond.
