Girls Dodgeball Tournament Delivers Thrills and Skills!

On Tuesday, 11th November, the atmosphere at The Angmering School was electric as two spirited teams of girls from Years 4–6 stormed the courts for an adrenaline-charged Girls-Only Dodgeball Tournament. Hosted under the watchful eye of The Angmering School's Sports Leaders, the event was a showcase of precision, agility, and teamwork.

The day kicked off with an intensive rules briefing, ensuring every participant was primed for fair play and tactical brilliance. Warm-up drills quickly transitioned into skill-based challenges, where the young athletes faced the ultimate test: hitting the Sports Leaders five times in succession. This wasn’t just about power—it demanded pinpoint accuracy, strategic timing, and rapid-fire reflexes. After each round, constructive feedback was delivered, and the players responded with remarkable adaptability, sharpening their throws and defensive manoeuvres.

With confidence building, the real showdown began: competitive dodgeball matches between the teams. Initial nerves were palpable, but as the games unfolded, the players unleashed their full potential—dodging with lightning speed, counterattacking with precision, and demonstrating elite-level resilience under pressure. The energy was contagious, and every throw echoed determination.

When the dust settled, one team clinched 2nd place, while the other proudly secured 3rd, proving that skill and spirit matter more than the scoreboard. Every participant left the court with a sense of achievement, having transformed from cautious beginners into confident competitors.

This tournament wasn’t just a game—it was a celebration of sportsmanship, empowerment, and growth. A huge congratulations to all the players for their outstanding performance!

Yours in sport,

Mr J Etherington (PE Lead)
