High 5 Netball Tournament – A Fantastic Afternoon of Sport!

On Thursday 5th March, our KS2 netball team took part in an exciting High 5 Netball Tournament at The Angmering School—an afternoon packed with teamwork, determination, and brilliant sporting spirit!

What Is High 5 Netball?

High 5 is a special version of netball designed just for primary-aged players. Instead of staying in one position all game, players rotate positions regularly, giving everyone the chance to learn the different roles on the court—from shooting and defending to centre play and even timekeeping.
This means every child becomes a well‑rounded netballer, gaining confidence, skills, and a great understanding of how the whole game works.

Our Enthusiastic Team

We took an 8‑player squad, and every single member was full of enthusiasm from start to finish! The team communicated brilliantly, listened carefully to each other, and worked hard to make sure every positional transition was smooth and successful.

Their discipline on court was outstanding. They stayed focused in their roles, made clever decisions, and were quick to move the ball around, catching opponents off guard with their energy and speed.

Our Matches

Across the tournament, we played five competitive games.

  • Wins: 2
  • Losses: 3

Although we didn’t win them all, the matches were incredibly close, with some coming down to the very finest of margins. The children showed fantastic resilience, bouncing back after each game and showing real sportsmanship throughout.

A Big Well Done!

We are incredibly proud of our team—not just for their results, but for the positive attitude, teamwork, and passion they showed all afternoon. They represented our school brilliantly and demonstrated exactly what High 5 Netball is all about.

A huge well done to the whole squad—you were amazing!

Yours in sport,

Mr J Etherington (PE Lead)
