JC Sports Archery & Fencing Day
On Monday 20th October, our school was buzzing with excitement as pupils from Years 3 to 5 took part in a special Archery and Fencing Activity Day, led by the energetic and experienced coaches from JC Sports.
Each class enjoyed a 30-minute session, giving every child the chance to experience the thrill of two unique sports. The sessions were designed to introduce key skills in both disciplines:
- Archery: Children learned how to safely handle a bow and arrow, focus on target accuracy, and develop hand-eye coordination and concentration.
- Fencing: Pupils were taught the basics of footwork, balance, attack and defence techniques, and the importance of quick reflexes and strategic thinking.
After learning the fundamentals, the children had the opportunity to put their skills to the test in friendly challenges against their classmates. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, encouragement, and a healthy dose of competition!
Feedback from the children was overwhelmingly positive. Many described the day as “exciting,” “fun,” and “something new.” It was wonderful to see so many smiles and enthusiastic participation throughout the day.
🌟 A Message to All Our Young Athletes: Whether it's football, tennis, archery, fencing, or any other sport, every child can find joy and confidence through physical activity. Trying something new helps build resilience, teamwork, and self-belief. So keep exploring, keep moving, and most importantly—keep having fun!
A huge thank you to JC Sports for delivering such a memorable experience, and to all the staff who helped make the day run smoothly.
