🌟 KS2 Dance Festival – A Spellbinding Day of Creativity! 🌟

Monday 2nd February

On Monday, around 30 excited dancers from our school headed to The Angmering School to take part in the brilliant KS2 Dance Festival—and what a magical day it was!

💃 A Spectacular Start

The day began with a stunning performance from a group of talented secondary school dance students. Our KS2 children watched with fantastic respect and focus, taking in the choreography and setting the tone for a wonderful day ahead.

🧪 Potion & Spell Dance Workshops

After the performance, the real fun began!

The children were split into groups, each led by a secondary school dance student. Their challenge?
To learn different spell and potion–themed dance movements and then take these ideas back to their wider group.

With bubbling potions, swirling spells and magical gestures, the children worked together to:

✨ Learn new choreography
✨ Combine different elements
✨ Build their own original group dance

The older students supported them throughout, helping to shape movements, build confidence and spark creativity.

🌈 Performing With Pride

When performance time came, every single child stepped up with energy, excitement and courage.
The dances were fantastic—full of imagination, teamwork and beautifully synchronised movements. It was wonderful to see children cheering each other on and celebrating one another’s achievements.

🏅 Special Awards

At the end of the festival, three of our children were chosen to receive special medals for showing:

Great communication
Strong leadership
Creative flair
Brilliant teamwork

A huge congratulations to our medal‑winners—and to every dancer who took part. You all represented our school proudly!

🎉 A Magical Day to Remember

The festival was a fabulous celebration of creativity, confidence and collaboration. Our KS2 dancers returned to school buzzing with pride and excitement.
Well done to everyone involved—you were amazing!

Yours in sport,
