Opening day wins for EP teams v Ferring

Netball and footballers took the short trip along the coast to Ferring for the opening fixture of the season against our local rivals. Brimming with excitement, both teams were packed with plenty of new faces eager to make their mark.  They did not disappoint with the girls running out 16-0 winners against a very inexperienced Ferring side, and the footballers also winning convincingly with a 5-0 scoreline.

Some fabulous passing play was evident in the football and after a frustrating start where the Ferring goalkeeper kept EP at bay, the deadlock was broken by Noah with the first of his two goals, Tom weighed in with a curling left foot from short range and further goals from Archie and Nati sealed the day.

The netball players were beaming from ear to ear and were thrilled with the way they played together for the first time in a competitive fixture and Miss Rose is looking forward to a good season ahead!

We'd like to extend a huge thank you to Mr Ryan and our friends at Ferring school for hosting us, and we look forward to extending the same welcome to Ferring later in the season. We'd also like to thank the sports leaders from The Angmering School who have helped coach and organise the girls over recent weeks.

Thank you to all that took part and parents for helping with transport.
