🏃‍♂️ QUAD KIDS STARS SHINE AT SOUTHERN AREA FINALS! 🌟

On Wednesday 20th May, ten determined Year 5 and Year 6 athletes proudly represented our school at the highly anticipated Quad Kids Southern Area Finals, held at The Angmering School—and what a spectacular event it was!

Having qualified for this elite event by winning our locality tournament, our team arrived full of excitement and ready to compete against the very best. This prestigious finals brought together top schools from across the entire Southern Area—the largest in West Sussex—making the competition tougher than ever.

💥 FOUR EVENTS, ONE INCREDIBLE TEAM!
The Quad Kids competition is an action-packed test of all-round athletic ability, featuring four demanding events:

  • 🏃‍♂️ 600m run – a true test of stamina and determination
  • 80m sprint – lightning speed down the track
  • 🦘 Long jump – power and precision in every leap
  • 🎯 Vortex throw – showcasing strength and technique

As if that wasn’t enough, the day concluded with an electrifying shuttle relay, where teamwork and speed combined in a thrilling finale!

💪 SMILES, SPIRIT AND SUPER PERFORMANCE!
Our athletes competed with incredible effort from start to finish, showing fantastic resilience and teamwork. Even in the face of fierce competition, they rose to the challenge—pushing themselves further with each event, all while keeping smiles on their faces and supporting one another every step of the way.

🏅 A RESULT TO CELEBRATE!
After a day of outstanding performances, we are delighted to share that our team finished an impressive 5th out of 8 schools. This represents a huge improvement on our previous performances at this level—an achievement that truly reflects the hard work, determination and positive attitude of every athlete involved.

👏 WELL DONE, TEAM!
We are incredibly proud of all ten pupils who competed. They represented the school brilliantly, showing not only their athletic talent but also exemplary sportsmanship. This is a result worth celebrating—and a fantastic platform to build on for the future!
