Team EPJS bag a brace in Angmering Mile
The second Angmering Mile of the sporting calendar saw another huge team from EPJS descend upon the Angmering School playing fields. 75 children made the short trip across the railway line to join their locality rivals in this traditional favourite event. The field was busy, with around 150 athletes competing, and with the looming dark also a factor—it proved a real challenge.
An army of East Preston parents and siblings made the journey and were well rewarded watching the children perform incredibly well and with smiles throughout the team showing a real sense of accomplishment at completing the course.
Tobias, Charlie and Ralph finished in the top 10 for the boys. Amy in Year 5 again finished 2nd in the girl's race, being pipped on the line; she was joined in the top 10 girls by Ariella and Ellie. Every child received a finishing place card and many improved their positions from the last outing.

As always with these events, a series of thank yous are needed - to Mr. Gwynn and his team of sports leaders for organising the event, to Mrs. Algorta and Miss Groves for helping with the organisation, to all of the mums, dads, siblings, grandparents and carers that cheered along the athletes and made transport possible and finally to all of the athletes for representing our school so well and making us proud of you.
