Whole-School Multi-Skills Tournament – A Day of Fun, Energy, and Team Spirit!
On Tuesday 18th November, our school was buzzing with excitement as we hosted a whole-school multi-skills tournament, organised by our fantastic Schools Games Organiser and his team of young leaders—many of whom were proud former pupils of our school! It was wonderful to see them return and inspire our current students.
The event featured 8 action-packed stations, including tennis, golf, football, basketball, and netball challenges. Each station tested agility, coordination, and teamwork, making it a true celebration of sporting skills.
Year 3 – Starting Strong!
Despite a chilly morning, Year 3 kicked things off with unstoppable enthusiasm. Their energy warmed up the playground and set the tone for the day. Every child gave their best, and their smiles said it all! After some fantastic performances, Saxons claimed victory for this year group.
Year 4 – Fierce Determination
Next up was Year 4, and wow—what determination! The competitive spirit was clear as house teams battled to outscore each other. It was a nail-biting contest, but once again, Saxons came out on top.
Year 5 – Technique on Display
When Year 5 took the stage, the level of skill and technique was impressive. From precise passes to accurate shots, they showed what practice can achieve. This time, Vikings stole the crown with a brilliant all-round performance.
Year 6 – Team Spirit Shines
Finally, Year 6 brought the day to a close with a fantastic display of comradery and teamwork. Their encouragement for one another was inspiring, and it paid off—Normans secured the win for their year group.
Overall Champions
After tallying up the scores, the overall winners of the tournament were… Saxons! Congratulations to all the children for their effort, energy, and sportsmanship. You made this event a huge success!
A big thank you to our Schools Games Organiser and the young leaders for running such a brilliant day. We’re already looking forward to the next event!
Yours in sport,
