Year 3/4 Athletics Finals - 25/03/25

On Tuesday 25th March, a team of 24 talented children from Years 3 and 4 took part in the Indoor Athletics Finals at The Angmering School. The event, which ran from 2:15 pm to 5:00 pm, was a fantastic opportunity for the young athletes to compete in various exciting events and show off their skills.

The team participated in a wide range of activities, including running events, an obstacle race, speed bounce, different jumping events, a relay race, and a challenging hurdle race. There was something for everyone, and each team member worked hard to perform their best.

One of the highlights of the day was the relay race, where teamwork was essential. The children passed the baton with great skill and speed, helping the team gain valuable points. The obstacle race was another exciting event, where athletes had to run jump and dodge through a series of challenges. The speed bounce tested how fast the children could bounce on a trampoline, and the jumping events required a combination of skill and strength.

Throughout the event, the children displayed excellent sportsmanship, encouraged each other, and gave their all in every race. In the end, the team finished joint 6th out of all the competing schools. This was an amazing result, especially considering the tough competition they faced.

The children should be extremely proud of their efforts. Their teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm were evident throughout the afternoon, and they represented their school brilliantly. Well done to everyone who took part – you made your school proud!
