East Preston Junior School

Year 3 End-Zone - 27/06/24

For many, end-zone is an unfamiliar game that may not have been experienced just yet. The game is a hybrid of handball, rugby and netball as children are able to travel with three steps before throwing the ball to a teammate in the 'end-zone'. It is a great way to get children considering tactics, movement and communication - they demonstrated strong improvements in these areas by listening to feedback and coaching.

Throughout the event competitive games were played to a high standard with four teams coming up against each other twice. EPJS children were split into two teams; EPJS Green and EPJS Rainbow. Both teams had set backs and successes in the first round of fixtures before adaptations and messages were delivered by Mr Jenner. After this, children really upped their game and improved strongly.

In the end, one team finished 2nd and one team finished 4th! All participants walked away having learnt something new.

Yours in sport,

Mr J Etherington (PE Lead)
