Year 4 Netball Stars Shine at Local Tournament! 🏐⭐
On Tuesday 21st April, seven of our fantastic Year 4 pupils represented our school at an exciting Netball tournament hosted by The Angmering School—and what a brilliant afternoon of sport it was!
The tournament kicked off with a lively warm-up game, a fun variation of tag that had everyone smiling, moving quickly and getting ready for action. This energetic start set the tone perfectly before the children moved on to a range of skills-based activities.
The team then rotated around four different stations, each focusing on one of the core skills of netball: passing, movement, shooting and defending. Across all activities, it was wonderful to see such a great combination of high-quality technique, growing confidence and lots of encouragement between teammates. For many of the children, this was their first experience of competitive netball, and their enthusiasm and willingness to learn really stood out.
After sharpening their skills, the players were given clear instructions about their specific positional areas before heading into games. This was where everything came together! The team applied what they had practised excellently, showing strong teamwork, quick thinking and impressive determination. They performed admirably throughout, playing with smiles on their faces and pride in representing our school.
Overall, it was a superb event that supported skill development, confidence and teamwork—and most importantly, lots of fun was had by all. Well done to our Year 4 netballers—you should be incredibly proud of yourselves! 👏🎉
