Year 5/6 Football Finals - 04/12/24

The eagerly anticipated finals had 'finally' arrived... 

On Wednesday 4th December, 11 young men from EPJS travelled to The Angmering School to compete against schools from all across West Sussex, led by Mr Coates. The team donned EPJS's rugby strip due to the high amount of recent football fixtures - in my opinion, it looks fantastic as a football kit (and also helped with the cold!).

The event was a spectacle to behold as it was reported that over a hundred parents/guardians watched on as the 12 teams took to the pitch.

Throughout the tournament, the team came very close in numerous games but fine margins got the better of them. Regardless of results, all participants enjoyed themselves and remained positive - which is such a key element of the game that is neglected at times - they should be proud as a result of this. 

Looking ahead, there will be further locality fixtures and potentially more competitive football in the new year.
