Year 6 Locality Fixture 2 - 28/11/24

Our second round of Locality Fixtures took place at The Angmering School on Thursday 28th November. Regardless of the weather starting to turn cold, it was a pleasure to see so many enthusiastic children - demonstrating the 'E' of our WELL objectives.

For football this time round, every player was different with some being given their debuts. From the beginning, one thing was clear - these children were dedicated to self-improvement. The team started with an unconventional warm-up before beginning their first game. During the early stages of this match, the team seemed nervous. However, it was not long before they grew in confidence and found their feet in the game; which turned out to be very competitive! First match - 3-1 to EPJS. In the team's second game, they were encouraged by the success of the first and started strongly. The opposite team fought right back and for a long time it was neck-and-neck before our opponents pulled ahead and won the game. There were super highlights all through the team, including strong tackling, brave saves, high energy and fantastic feet.

Mr Coates expressed his pleasure as the netball team showed dominance in both of their fixtures - scoring multiple times with different scorers. All of the team have shown marked improvements from their first outing. They were able to apply their understanding of the game to play really high-quality netball at a fast pace. In the end, they won both of their fixtures.

Round 3 will take place on Thursday 12th December.

Yours in sport,

Mr J Etherington (PE Lead)
